Love it! - Bone sunburst mirror

I've seen my fair share of sunburst mirrors, but have never seen one in white bone! I have a bone mirror myself in a herringbone pattern, which I absolutely LOVE - this one might actually come in a close second. What a fresh new way to look at a classic motif.

Style Story - Bamboo mirrors

A taste of the far east never hurt a space. Especially if it were in the form of one of these mirrors from Neiman Marcus. The Chinoiserie bamboo mirror has classically been a sign of high style in a European room but these days mixing it into a traditional to modern space is just a cool.

Love it! - Mirror

A quick way to change and incorporate design interest to a space is by adding a real statement piece like this Baroque mirror. The high gloss white will blend with any color palette but its ornate silhouette will bring a true focal point. Fun, romantic, classical - take the plunge and for only $349, just change it out after a couple seasons!

Love it! - Chainlink mirror

I love nothing more than a chain link pattern so when I saw this mirror with an actual chain link border I had to blog! Rustic yet chic, this mirror can look great in a traditional space or incredibly cool in a modern space due to its bold, industrial form.

Love it! - Bone mirror

I recently purchased a rectangular bone inlay mirror from Pottery Barn with the same coloring as this one from Ballard Designs. The ivory and tan color variations are very soothing to the eye and blend with any color decor. Plus this beautiful shape, a great balance of curves and angles, is sure to be a focal point anywhere you place it!

Love it! - Starburst

I was strolling Crate & Barrel today and came across this dynamic star burst. For more of a burst than a mirror, this accent piece was definitely an eye catcher for me. With so many sunburst mirrors out there, this one was a bit more unique in that the rays were metal wire rods and had less of a fish eye mirror - much more to my liking.

Love it! - Nailhead mirrors

Two of my fave design elements - nailheads and a fretwork pattern, in three colors no less! What simply square leather mirrors with awesome detailing you can't ignore - my fave is the brown, which is yours? :)

Love it! - Fretwork mirror

I've seen many fretwork mirrors, but never round and at only $250 it's definitely extra noteworthy - break up square, angular furniture with a soft-edge mirror like this one!

Love it! - Weave mirror

Wow, this mirror is gorge! - subtle yet love the woven design detail. I'm definitely a sucker for anything with a lattice feel. It's such a classic pattern that gives you texture, symmetry, femininity and enough design interest without going overboard - especially in this case where the entire mirror, including the weave is mirrored. It makes a constrained statement without competing with anything else it might be paired with.

Love it! - Metal Mirror

As soon as I saw this metal mirror from Ballard Designs I knew I had to blog. I love the juxtaposition of the soft and feminine design of the flower petals with the hard industrial feel of the metal and rivets. This combination adds real design interest and complexity to a space. Unlikely mirrors are the best way to make a bold statement in a subdued room.

Love it! - My last week purchases

Yes, I admit it - I love to shop! But how could you not when products like these form Pottery Barn and WestElm look this good and at prices so affordable?! Plus I love changing up my decor periodically - every couple of years. I'm not saying to redesign your entire home, but changing something as simple as a duvet cover, a lamp or a mirror can completely change the feeling of a space and in turn revitalize its energy and inspire you to new directions in life. Design can definitely have that effect on your life!

Love it! - Honeycomb mirror

So I wanted to share with you my latest purchase, this white honeycomb mirror from BallardDesigns.com - can you believe it's on clearance for only $160 - I know! I immediately snatched it up with the perfect spot in my foyer already chosen. Inspired by the renowned mid-century designer David Hicks and his use of the hexagon in wallpapers, rugs and fabrics (see below) this mirror definitely hearkens back to his legacy. Also available in black for $229, for me the white has a more subtle, modern, mid-century feeling. But act fast because I doubt it will be available much longer!
