As soon as I opened the homepage of Horchow.com - the image of this gorge cane coverlet popped up and I knew it was by blog of the day! I love a cane motif in unexpected incarnates such as this embossed coverlet. Available in these sublime colors ways, your bed will look inviting, warm and classic.

Style Story - West Elm Fall preview
I just popped into my local West Elm and was delighted to see they had on display their Fall preview! Ikat, chevron and totem patterns, hammered metal, woven baskets, trays and boxes with an ethnic and tribal theme - my fave! I had to snap away on my phone's camera to share with you all - I even took the liberty of arranging a pillow display on a sofa - One of which I ended up buying! So make sure to pop by your local West Elm or visit their website to see these goodies and more!

Love it! - Equestrian bedding
I just adore anything with rope knots and belts straps, perhaps harking back to my love of horses or just Ralph Lauren and Hermes! But nonetheless, I just might have to treat myself to this new bedding set by Ballard Designs!

Love it! - My last week purchases
Yes, I admit it - I love to shop! But how could you not when products like these form Pottery Barn and WestElm look this good and at prices so affordable?! Plus I love changing up my decor periodically - every couple of years. I'm not saying to redesign your entire home, but changing something as simple as a duvet cover, a lamp or a mirror can completely change the feeling of a space and in turn revitalize its energy and inspire you to new directions in life. Design can definitely have that effect on your life!

Love it! - Faux-Fur Throw Blankets
So I just came in from the cold, 32 degrees! I immediately hopped on my computer to start blogging and I guess subconsciously searched for throw blankets. As soon as I saw these faux-fur throws on PotteryBarn.com, the chill in my body literally melted away. I'm not really a big fan of faux-fur, but after seeing how luxe these were, I've never wanted to wrap myself in a faux-fur blanket so badly! On sale and free shipping to boot, ahhhhh :)

Love it! - Jonathan Adler duvet cover
Love this reversible duvet cover by Jonathan Adler. A classic woven pattern, almost bamboo like, but in a neutral brown - it adds just enough design interest without screaming.

Love it! - Native American blankets
No, not Jonathan Adler's homage to "Native American", these are the real thing! Pendleton's wool throws are so rich with heritage and I just love the vibrant colors and patterns. Perfect for getting cozy'd up on the sofa or a great way to dress up any bed spread. The challenge is picking just one!

Style Story - Zebra print
Hmmm ... what can I say about zebra print? It's such a touchy subject isn't it? People either hate it or love it. Well, just as I'm treading lightly in writing this caption, it's probably best to do the same when incorporating zebra into your home. The key is remembering that less is more - you don't want your guests to feel like they're on safari! Unless you're going for a big statement, use it sparingly - maybe one large piece like a rug or chair and then smaller accessories like a pillow or tray to compliment. A touch of the exotic can be so stylish and just enough to awaken a quiet room!
