When I saw this chest, I literally jumped out of my seat. It was that knee-jerk reaction when you see something so special and you connect with it on all levels. I don't even know where to start - the antique metal pulls and key holes, ball feet, gorgeous wood and molding creating shapes that hark back to Asian-Chippendale, American-Indian, South American - the list goes on. I can't stop looking at it!

Love it! - Chain link frame
I love love love anything chain link. I've seen many antique Victorian frames with a single thick chain link border, so when I saw this one on MichaelCFina.com with multiple rows, I jumped out of my seat! Three words - classic, timeless, stylish. This design will pass the test of time, just like the memory it'll frame!

Love it! - Salt Crystal tealight holders
No, these aren't rose quartz - they're crystallized-salt tealight holders mined in the Himalayas. I have five of them - three in my bedroom and two in the living room! Hundreds of years ago, Mount Everest used to be under water. When that part of the ocean receded, all the salt remained and crystallized. These chunks of pure ocean salt do not dissolve when warmed by fire, only if placed in hot water. They work on two levels. When lit they create the most beautiful glow in natural shades of pink, orange and white. At the same time, when warmed by the fire, they emit negative-ions which neutralize the positive-ions that electronics and other forms of radiation emit into the air. Good for your health and for creating a mood - two birds with one "stone" or should I say crystal!

Love it! - Buenos Aires Leather Co.
So my new favorite find is Buenos Aires Leather Co. located in NYC. They import gorgeous leather goods with an ethnic flair from Argentina. I really flipped for their unisex belts - I purchased two and also a wallet as holiday gifts. The craftsmanship is top notch (no pun intended) and the graphic patterns are totally high-style. You definitely won't be finding Greek Key and Chain link woven into leather with waxed twine at The Gap! Plus they ship nationwide - can you ask for anything more?!
Belts are 1-3/8" thick: $45 each (or 2 belts for $80)
Wallet closed: 4.25"W x 3.25"H (in Black or Red) $20 each

Instead, I thought just blog about it for all of you looking for a new rug. Putting salt in my wound, it's on sale - a 5'x8' is only $446!

Market Profile - PillowPagoda.com
If you're like me, it's always a struggle finding the right throw pillows - ones with personality yet classic at the same time. Either they're generically boring or overly busy, right? Well I found my new favorite pillow source, PillowPagoda.com. You know those showroom fabrics that are "trade only" and transformed into custom pillows that us mere mortals cannot afford? Well they've figured out a way to take those high-end fabrics and turn them into a gorgeous collection of limited-edition designs. The best part is that their prices rival mainstream retailers - now that's a Christmas miracle!

It looked so chic that I knew I had to blog about it and I remember seeing them at Crate & Barrel. So here ya go, live like an upper-eastsider! xoxo

Love it! - Orchids
I once worked at an office where there was a pot of orchids at the reception desk. Every morning I would come off the elevator and be greeted by the beautiful plant. Months went by and it never seemed to wilt. I remember thinking, gosh those are some high-quality orchids - that is until the day the receptionist told me they were fake! Well no doubt they were by Diane James. And if you are not familiar with her collection of faux plants and bouquets, you should definitely visit her website DianeJamesHome.com
